Monitor and Control the Nitrification Process BioGuide® BAM-NT provides on-line, automatic monitoring of the the nitrification process. This in situ instrument continuously measures how much process time is needed to remove ammonia from the biological process under the plant's current hydraulic and nutrient loadings. The BAM-NT, installed in the aeration tank, simulates the treatment process to continuously provide a "nitrification time" (NT) measurement. Once the NT is measured and compared to the tanks' hydraulic retention time, one can see if ammonia removal is occuring efficiently. BAM-NT eliminates excessive air supply, ensures permit compliance, and increases treatment capacity.
