Monitor and Control the Denitrification Process BioGuide® BAM-DNT provides on-line, automatic monitoring of the denitrification process. This in situ instrument continuously measures the process time required to remove nitrate from the biological process under the plant's current hydraulic and nutrient loadings. BAM-DNT, installed in the anoxic tank, simulates the treatment process to continuously provide a "denitrification time" (DNT) measurement. Once the DNT is measured and compared to the tanks' hydraulic retention time, one can see if nitrate removal is occuring efficiently. BAM-DNT ensures permit compliance, increases treatment capacity, and determines internal recycle rate to optimize treatment.
